Immigration and Citizenship Agency of Somalia Holds Coordination and Five-Year Plan Implementation Conference.
Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) of Somalia convened a Coordination and Five-Year Plan Implementation Conference in Mogadishu, attended by senior officials from the Federal Government of Somalia.
The conference, aimed at enhancing collaboration and outlining the next steps for the Five-Year Plan, was opened by the Minister of Internal Security, Mr. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag. In his remarks, the Minister praised the ICA for its critical role in service delivery and border security, highlighting the agency’s commitment to improving the immigration system in Somalia.
Mr. Ahmed Said Mohamed, the Director General of ICA Somalia, also addressed the attendees, emphasizing that the primary focus of the conference is to showcase the agency’s achievements and discuss the way forward for development plans. He reiterated the importance of continued vigilance and cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the Five-Year Plan.
The event featured brief addresses from various senior officials, including the Attorney General, the Mayor of Mogadishu and Chairman of the Benadir Region, the Acting and Deputy Commanders of the Somali Police Force, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, and the Manager of Aden Adde International Airport.
The ICA remains committed to fostering a secure and efficient immigration system that supports national development and enhances the welfare of the Somali people.
